We want you to listen and tell us which bands are signed, and which ones are not. Without researching you just can't. Why? Because the only difference between label acts and unsigned acts are paper, ink, and capital. The talent is just as amazing. We make no differential between talented bands just because they do or don't have corporate backing. This station, and all Network Noir stations, treat great talent the way great talent should be treated- with respect, admiration, and 'awe'.

Tell you what- don't bother trying to figure out if the bands are signed or not. Because all of the bands here still make your blood boil. When you hear an act that you never heard before, just find them on this site, or query Google. Go and buy their CD, a t-shirt, or a ticket to their show. Do you 'Really' want to make a difference? Write a note to the labels about a band you heard here, email it to us, and we'll copy them to all of our label contacts. If every Melted listener did that, a bunch of these bands would get signed- fast.

This web radio network is nothing more than a love affair with music. Sure, we hope we can feed our kids, contribute to our retirement funds, and give something to charitable organizations that make the world a better place. But this web network is not about getting rich (you hear that, SoundExchange?).  It's about sticking around for a long, long, time to do great things in an industry where even the most ruthless millionaire moguls pray that music can play pivotal roles in building a better world.

Also, we are not high-tech here. Melted Metal does not use any of the new playlist programming gizmos, and we keep our web sites extremely simple and basic. That's because we put our limited time into researching great music, mapping playlists, and talking with musicians and listeners. So, sorry that we don't have the latest flash files, j-scripts, server apps, or hundreds of pages of useless online games to play. We're just a metal station. All of our magic is in the incredible music you hear.
